A podcast interview that Perez Hilton recorded just weeks before his hospitalization is getting attention after being published today (August 6).
On July 14, the 48-year-old blogger recorded an episode of Fox News Media’s “Hang Out With Sean Hannity” podcast.
If you don’t know, Hilton was taken to the hospital this week after he was livestreaming on social media and appeared to be harming himself.
The disturbing footage was broadcast on TikTok live, and fans grew immediately concerned. Police responded to his home before he was taken to a local medical facility.
Perez Hilton revealed he reached out to Khloe Kardashian and Britney Spears
“I’ve made amends, or tried to, with a lot of people. I’ve reached out to them privately. I mean, I even reached out to Britney Spears,” he said.
When asked how it went, he responded, “Well, according to the intermediary that relayed what I wrote to her.”
“I reached out to Khloé Kardashian, and she responded back. She was very kind. Some people don’t respond back, and that’s fine,” he added.
Perez Hilton also revealed why he stopped mocking celebrities
Hannity noted that Perez Hilton had previously made a name for himself by “mocking celebrities’ bodies and appearances and speculating about their sexuality.” He asked why Perez Hilton decided to stop.
“Because I realized what I was doing was wrong. I realized I could still be funny, but I didn’t have to be so cheap, and I didn’t have to be so cruel. It was cruel. It’s something that I carry with me. It’s like my scarlet letter, and it’s very heavy baggage,” he responded.
