Kim Cattrall Remembers ‘Ice Princess’ Costar Hayden Panettiere in Touching Tribute
Kim Cattrall is keeping the memory of Hayden Panettiere forever frozen in her mind.
After Panettiere’s tragic death at age 36 was confirmed Aug. 16, her Ice Princess costar—who played her on-screen mom—shared a touching tribute.
“Rest in peace sweet Hayden,” Cattrall wrote in an Aug. 17 Instagram post. “Gone far too soon.”
Alongside the note, the Sex and the City star included a photo from the set of the 2005 Disney film of them squeezed together, with Panettiere’s character Gen Harwood looking lovingly over at Cattrall, who played her mom and figure skating coach Tina Harwood.
Cattrall’s tribute from the Disney film is particularly heartbreaking, as her and Panettiere’s costar Michelle Trachtenberg died a little over a year ago at just 39. At the time, the 69-year-old similarly remembered the Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum with a photo from Ice Princess, writing, “Rest in peace sweet Michelle.”
Panettiere’s family confirmed her death on Aug. 16, with her dad Skip Panettiere remembering her in an statement to People as “an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her.”
