Zayn Malik is speaking out to explain what happened during a tense moment with fans outside of his hotel in Manchester.
The 33-year-old singer was caught on video snapping at the crowd while trying to get into his car on Sunday (May 24) in Manchester, England.
So many people were swarming around Zayn‘s car that his security team could barely get the door open so he could go inside.
A video posted by TMZ shows Zayn telling people to “get the f–k out of the way.”
After Zayn squeezed his way into the car, a member of his team also appeared to be having trouble getting into the vehicle.
Zayn explained what happened in an Instagram comment… and he’s not blaming the fans.
“Let’s just get the facts straight – the fans were and always are respectful and amazing – the issue was the multiple fully grown men that were blocking the doors of the hotel and the car for 10 minutes not letting us or security out,” Zayn wrote in a comment on TMZ’s Instagram page.
He added, “They are not fans. They are stalkers that show up where ever someone they want to meet is and do the same thing to everyone to try to get content. It is not safe and not okay and they ruin it for the real fans.”
Zayn recently decided to cancel all of his shows in the United States.
