Werwulf is coming.
Focus Features will release the highly anticipated film on December 25 in theaters, and they’ve just provided an official first look on Thursday (June 25).
The Robert Eggers written and directed film, co-written by Sjón, stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Willem Dafoe, and Lily-Rose Depp
Here’s the synopsis so far: “Witness Robert Eggers’ most visceral and haunting experience yet. Focus Features presents WERWULF, a harrowing tale of devotion, damnation and the devil within.”

Around this time last year, Aaron and Lily-Rose were announced as being attached to the project. Aaron, Lily-Rose and the director previously worked together on Nosferatu and are set to work on their second project together.
Robert and Sjón previously co-wrote The Northman. Check out the first look above!
Further details on the upcoming project are currently unknown.
In April, Aaron‘s new movie Fuze was released in limited release.
Set in contemporary London, Fuze unfolds after an unexploded World War II bomb is unearthed at a busy construction site, forcing a massive citywide evacuation. Amid the escalating tension and chaos, a daring criminal operation is set in motion—one that uses the evacuation as cover for a meticulously planned heist. As authorities race against time to contain the crisis, alliances blur and moral boundaries are crossed, the film deftly propels audiences through a series of calculated twists delivering a wildly entertaining ride.
