Marissa George is married!

The Netflix star, who just recently appeared on Perfect Match season four, reveals she tied the knot earlier this year with a former partner, D. Johnson, according to People.

Marissa shared with the publication that filming on the Netflix dating show wrapped in November 2025, and the reconnected that month. Then, in March, she eloped with D., who she first met and dated back in 2013!

While they “fell in love fast” at the time, she says, “We were young and lived states away from each other, so the distance just didn’t work at the time.”

“Over the last 13 years, we somehow always found our way back to each other,” the reality star shared. “Anytime we were both single, we’d reconnect and it was always clear the feelings never really left. Even our mutual friends would always say, ‘If the timing ever works out, they’re going to end up together.’”

“Eventually, after years spent being each other’s ‘what if,’ we got to a point where we were like, ‘Screw the distance, this is worth it,’” she added.

After rekindling their romance, they got engaged on February 21st and exactly one month later, on March 21st, they got married during a small elopement ceremony in Savannah, Ga., with their parents, siblings and close friends in attendance.

“The day I said ‘I do,’ I felt this immense responsibility in the most beautiful way. Not pressure, but clarity. Like, this is serious. This is real partnership. I can’t play games and I don’t want to,” Marissa said. “It’s not that I didn’t take past relationships seriously, but I honestly don’t think I fully understood what a healthy love was supposed to feel like until now. And once you experience a love that feels peaceful, grounding, safe, and freeing all at once, it completely changes you.”

Following their nuptials, the couple plans to move to Japan soon, and have a big wedding next year.

“I’m honestly just really excited that after all these years we finally get to choose each other fully and publicly,” she dished.

“What’s so special about our relationship is how safe it feels. I’ve never had someone love me in a way that also made me feel so free to fully be myself,” Marissa adds. “[He] has loved me through so many versions of myself and has created space for me to continue growing, learning, changing, and evolving without shame or judgment. In so many ways, he’s helped heal parts of me that I didn’t even fully realize still needed healing.”

On Perfect Match, Marissa was coupled up with DeMari Davis, from Too Hot to Handle, throughout the experience. Prior to that, she got engaged to Ramses Prashad on Love Is Blind season seven, before being blindsided days before their wedding.

Now, she’s still grateful for her time on the Netflix dating shows.

“I cherish what [my husband and I] have so deeply. Which is honestly why I can now watch myself on Netflix, see all the growth and mistakes and lessons, and still feel proud of the woman I’ve become,” Marissa told People. “Because this relationship didn’t just give me love, it helped me understand myself more too.”

“And after such a public experience with dating and relationships, it’s been really beautiful having something that feels so real and private at its core,” she went on. “He’s truly my best friend and I genuinely feel so lucky that after all this time, timing finally chose us too.”
