Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi had to have a difficult conversation with her family.
As the Jersey Show alum prepares to undergo a hysterectomy in the near future after sharing her stage 1 cervical cancer diagnosis, she shared insight into how she told her and Jionni LaValle‘s kids Lorenzo, 13, Giovanna, 11, and Angelo, 6, about her health.
“I said that mommy has this and has to get surgery and I’m gonna be fine,” Snooki exclusively told E! News at the Jersey Shore: Family Vacation final season premiere April 23. “But my oldest was like, ‘Are you going to heaven? Are you dying?’”
Lorenzo tried to lighten the mood, with the mom of three said he jokingly asked her, “Are you gonna leave me something?”
While explaining her cancer diagnosis to her kids, the Jersey Shore: Family Vacation star prioritized comforting any concerns that may have been brewing.
“My kids are funny and my kids are amazing,” she emphasized. “They realized that mommy has to be healthy and needs to get through these surgeries and everything is gonna be OK.”
