Muse frontman Matt Bellamy files to divorce wife Elle Evans, seeks sole custody of kids

Matt Bellamy and wife Elle Evans are divorcing after seven years of marriage.

The Muse frontman filed to end their union on Wednesday over “irreconcilable differences,” per TMZ.

While the musician, 48, did not list a date of separation, Bellamy recently revealed they called it quits last summer.

In the filing, Bellamy requested sole legal and physical custody of his and the model’s two kids — daughter Lovella, 6, and son George, 2.

The Grammy winner, who is also the father of 15-year-old son Bingham with ex-fiancée Kate Hudson, asked for his ability to receive spousal support to be terminated — and noted the exes have a prenuptial agreement.

Evans, who told the outlet she will fight for custody of the little ones, called the divorce “a long time coming” after an “unbearable” marriage.

Reps for Evans and Bellamy did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.

The couple started dating in 2015 after meeting on the “Mercy” music video set, with Bellamy getting down on one knee two years later during a Fiji getaway.

He and the actress wed in August 2019 in Malibu, California.

Lovella was born in June 2020, followed by George in May 2024.

Bellamy revealed his secret split to i Paper in June, blaming “a set of really unexpected circumstances.”

He explained, “It’s one of those situations that involves something that people wouldn’t normally think it is. … It’s the kind of thing no one really prepares for in life. It threw me off, and I had to prioritize looking after the kids and creating stability at home.”

He credited the “life-changing experience” with how “easy” his band’s latest album, “The Wow! Signal,” was to write.

Bellamy dubbed the project a “lifeline” and “catharsis,” recalling, “It was just, ‘Boom.’ It would just pour out of me.”

Before dating Evans, the rocker was with Hudson, 47, between 2010 and 2014.

The former couple have joint custody of Bingham, born in 2011, and the “Almost Famous” star has raved over their co-parenting dynamic.

She told Women’s Health in 2021 that Bellamy wanted their son to feel like he was “gaining something, not losing something” when they ended their engagement.

“I think it’s even bonded us closer — me, Matt, Elle and [my fiancé], Danny [Fujikawa] — because we have to trust that we’re protecting each other,” Hudson explained.
