Morgan Wallen shows off scary twisted ankle photo after offstage tumble

Morgan Wallen can’t seem to catch a break on his eventful Still the Problem Tour.

The country singer hurt himself while greeting fans during his stop at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor Friday, twisting his ankle. In his Instagram Stories, Wallen showed how his left ankle bent in a painful angle while still wearing his sneakers.

The moment occurred as the singer, 33, hopped around while saying hi to fans before suddenly hitting the ground. He quickly got up, but he had to hobble away.

Wallen then immediately sat down on the floor once he was out of fans’ vision, clearly in pain while grabbing his ankle.

He was able to get back up, but not without limping, noting that he “popped” it.

Walllen wrote on Saturday, “Michigan, if I appear somewhat hobbled tonight, it’s cause I am.”

Despite the painful injury, he was still able to play his show that night at Michigan Stadium without any obvious issues.

But that wasn’t the only injury the former “The Voice” contestant sustained during night one of his two tour stops in Michigan. A fan threw their cell phone at him while he was singing, which appeared to hit him in the leg in video captured by another concert-goer.

Prior to the phone hitting him, Wallen was happily waving at fans, but he abruptly stopped and appeared to glare at the person who threw their phone.

This isn’t the first time a phone has caused drama at one of the singer’s concert.

Last month, he ripped a security guard’s cellphone out of her hand and threw it across the stage. In the video captured by a concert-goer, the guard is first seen holding up both hands backwards as she records Wallen singing during his show at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh.

Wallen doesn’t appear happy to be recorded by the guard, which is when he dramatically takes it and flings it across the stage.

He also had an on-stage meltdown at his show in Denver last month. While singing his song “Sand in My Boots,” his piano appeared to malfunction, and he was forced to finish the song a cappella.

He then walked back to his piano and shoved it about a foot before flipping and breaking it.

Wallen is set to wrap up his 2026 Still the Problem Tour on Aug. 1 in Philadelphia.
