Missing mother and son found buried in their own home – NaijaPopstar

A gruesome discovery shocked the municipality of Florida, in the department of Valle del Cauca, Colombia, after authorities located the lifeless bodies of a mother and her son after 25 days of intense searching.

The victims were identified as 35-year-old Mireyda Ordoñez and her 11-year-old son, Camilo Alejandro Meneses Ordoñez.

According to official reports, both were found buried underground in the yard of the house where they lived, which led to the case being investigated as a double homicide.

The discovery occurred on Wednesday, May 13 , when units of the Technical Investigation Corps (CTI) of the Attorney General’s Office traveled to the San Antonio de los Caballeros subdivision.

At the scene, officers removed the bodies and secured the area for the collection of forensic evidence.

According to authorities, the house was the last place where the mother and son were seen since April 19 .

For weeks, their families continued the search, hoping to find them alive, which caused great distress in the community. However, the investigation took a turn after it was confirmed that it was a violent crime.

Authorities pursued various lines of investigation to clarify the facts and determine responsibility.

Regarding the main suspect, authorities reported that Marco Antonio Ramírez Alzate, 26 , Mireya’s ex-partner and the child’s stepfather, allegedly participated in the murder of the victims.

He later took his own life , as his body was found in a rural area of ​​Santander de Quilichao , in the department of Cauca.

This discovery raised new questions within the investigative process, as it could provide key information about what happened.
