
Mandy Moore is looking back at a memorable experience from the set of Saved!.
The 42-year-old actress shared the story during the Thursday (May 28) episode of the Shut Up Evan podcast, recalling some lighthearted behind-the-scenes moments while filming the 2004 cult comedy.

“I do remember a little bit of underage drinking,” Mandy admitted. “As it happened, I was like, ‘Look, I didn’t go to high school.’ I was 18.”
Saved! followed a group of students at a Christian high school was filmed in Vancouver, where the legal drinking age is 19.
According to Mandy, Macaulay Culkin was the oldest member of the young cast, which included Jena Malone, Patrick Fugit, Eva Amurri, and Heather Matarazzo.

Since he was legally able to drink while filming in Canada, the actor ultimately introduced some of his younger co-stars to the classic cocktail known as a White Russian.
“I was like, ‘Milk and alcohol? This is made for me,’” Mandy recalled. “‘I love this! This is like ice cream, this is fantastic!’”
Despite the occasional drink, Mandy emphasized that the cast’s off-camera antics were relatively tame.
“I distinctly remember the sweet, innocent—like, we would take giant marshmallows and throw them at people off the balcony,” she shared. “We were kids! We weren’t really getting up to no good.”
