Harry Styles is opening up about losing his virginity and how Radiohead was involved.
The 32-year-old singer stepped out to honor Radiohead‘s Thom Yorke at the UK songwriting awards show Ivor Novello Awards on Thursday night (May 21) in London, England.
Thom was honored with the Fellowship of the Academy award.
Harry Styles discussed Radiohead’s impact on his own music career.
“I cannot overstate how his work has influenced my belief in the purpose of the arts in our world today. And I cannot overstate how much his work continues to influence me,” Harry said about Thom.
Harry credited the 1997 song “Exit Music (For a Film)” with helping him write “Watermelon Sugar.”
“Imagine that: a world without that song,” he joked.
Harry Styles revealed the song he lost his virginity to
“I lost my virginity to ‘Talk Show Host,’” Harry said. He then clarified, “I lost my virginity to the intro of ‘Talk Show Host.’”
The intro to the song lasts for about 10 seconds, so Harry is implying that the act was pretty quick when he made love for the first time. You can listen to the song below!
Harry said that seeing Radiohead perform in Berlin last year helped give him the inspiration to go on tour again, so his fans should be thanking the band!
There has been some controversy this week involving Harry‘s new tour.
