
Geno Segers will no longer be joining the cast of Broadway’s Hadestown after his alleged past social media posts have come to light.
Known for his work on TV shows including Pair of Kings, Knight Squad, and Henry Danger, the 49-year-old actor was supposed to make his Broadway debut in the production as Hades. Other cast members were also confirmed for the September 1 start date for the New York City production.

In a statement to Just Jared, the producers released the following: “The producers of Hadestown and Geno Segers have mutually agreed that Mr. Segers will no longer join the Broadway production. Additional casting will be announced shortly.”
What social media activity was unearthed?
OnStageBlog says that there were anti-transgender posts unearthed on his social media.
Some videos allegedly had text that read, “TRANS FAIRNESS?” and “NO MORE TRANS?”
The outlet also reported allegations that Segers had criticized pronoun usage and expressed opposition to trans women participating in women’s sports.
Segers has not publicly commented on the reported social media activity or the decision for him to no longer join the Broadway production of Hadestown.
