The country singer just tied a major Billboard Hot 100 record thanks to the success of her song “Choosin’ Texas” and there’s no sign of the song slowing down anytime soon.
Ella‘s song just achieved its 19th week at #1 on the Hot 100 chart, tying for the longest run at the top of the chart for a non-holiday song.
Ella Langley has tied Lil Nas X and Shaboozey
Back in 2019, Lil Nas X set the record for the longest run at #1 on the Hot 100 with his song “Old Town Road” featuring Billy Ray Cyrus. The song reached 19 weeks at the top of the chart.
Shaboozey tied the record in 2024 with his song “A Bar Song (Tipsy).”
Mariah Carey holds the record for the most weeks at #1 on the Hot 100 with her song “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” which has spent several weeks at the top of the chart for every holiday season since 2019. Collectively, it has 22 weeks at number one!
Ella Langley has a good chance of breaking the all-time record
Kalshi predicts that Ella has a 98% chance of reaching 20 weeks at number one, which will secure her the longest run for a non-holiday song.
At the time of this article being published, there’s also an 82% chance that she reaches 23 weeks at number one, which will give her the longest run at #1 for any song ever!
Ella‘s songs “I Can’t Love You Anymore” with Morgan Wallen and “Be Her” have spent many weeks in the Top 10 of the chart.
