Donald Trump is speaking out after another visit to Walter Reed Military Medical Center, his third visit in about a year amid growing concerns and speculation about his health.
The President of the United States, who turns 80 next month, made a statement in a post on his TruthSocial account following the news that he was transported to the medical facility on Tuesday (May 26).
Just finished my 6 month physical at Walter Reed Military Medical Center. Everything checked out PERFECTLY. Thank you to the great Doctors and Staff! Heading back to the White House. President DJT
Trump said that “everything checked out PERFECTLY” in his message, seemingly confirming the White House’s announcement that he was heading there for a “routine annual dental and medical assessment.”
Immediately after, he called Chicago’s mayor and governor “terrible.”
Overall, this is his fourth publicly disclosed medical exam during his second administration, following a “secondary” physical exam and cognitive test in October. He also got an ultrasound of his veins last July, resulting in a chronic venous insufficiency diagnosis.
Back in April, the White House responded to rumors that the President had fallen ill or was receiving treatment at Walter Reed Medical Center. Questions about his health arose after he went several days without making a public appearance.
In January, he spoke candidly about a medical decision he underwent on the recommendation of his doctor. He explained that going through with it was “the worst f—— thing I ever did.”
