“Deadliest Catch” star Jake Anderson is getting divorced from his wife of 13 years, Jenna Anderson.

Jake reveals the couple’s split during the Season 22 premiere that filmed last fall and is airing tonight on Discovery Channel, according to People.

“After 17 years being together, 13 years married, Jenna and I have decided to call it quits,” the 45-year-old shares.

Jake says while the split is “due to a lot of things,” the “major” reason is that he’s “gone too much crab fishing.”

But Jake notes he has to work hard to help support his and Jenna’s three children, sons Aiden, 11, and Luka, 6, and daughter Cadence, 8.

“I got three little ones that need to eat, that have to go to school, that have to have doctor’s appointments, and I don’t have a job,” he explains.

The reality star previously told Screener TV that the couple met in 2009 at a festival in Seattle when Jenna and her family went up to Jake and asked for an autograph.

“I autographed [her item with], ‘You’re beautiful,’” Jake recalled. “I was trying to stay out of trouble, so I was living on the boat. I wasn’t going out and spending money; I was trying to save my money. “

Jake said the pair “fell in love” after they consistently talked on the phone for several weeks.

They later tied the knot in 2012, with fellow fishing captain Sig Hansen officiating the wedding ceremony.

The “Deadliest Catch” premiere will include a tribute to deckhand Todd Meadows, who tragically died after falling overboard in February. He was 25.

Meadows was filming the TV series at the time of the incident.

His cause of death was later revealed to be “drowning with probable hypothermia” and “submersion of body in cold water,” per his death certificate released last month.

“Deadliest Catch” Season 22 premieres Friday, May 8, at 8 p.m. ET on Discovery Channel.
