Chelsea Handler is calling out two fellow comedians, and one just responded.
While appearing on a recent episode of the Funny Knowing You podcast with Deon Cole, she called out Shane Gillis and Tony Hinchcliffe, who both appeared on the Roast of Kevin Hart alongside her.
Specifically, she said she received messages calling them “racist,” “bigots” and “sexist” after the roast: “They’re racist, that they’re bigots, they’re sexist.”
She was also asked about their choice of roast jokes. She responded, “No. I mean, it was ick. It was gross.”

There was a comment made during the roast by Hinchcliffe, who, if you don’t recall, once called Puerto Rico a floating island of garbage during a Trump rally. At Kevin‘s roast, Gillis made a remark about lynching.
Chelsea added, “I don’t find those jokes to be funny. Jokes about lynching Black people, lynching is not a joke. That’s worse than rape.”
“Them making fun of Sheryl Underwood’s dead husband who committed suicide is gross. I wasn’t fine with that. There was so much disgustingness, I knew it was gonna be a gross vibe,” she continued.
Shane Gillis actually took the time to respond to Chelsea‘s comments.
He told THR, “This is a big moment for Chelsea. I am glad she’s capitalizing. Good for her. We’re all rooting for her. Anyway come see me July 17 at the football stadium in Philly.” Find out why SNL fired Shane Gillis.
