Chelsea Handler revealed a bad date she had with a celebrity.
The 51-year-old comedian went on Kristin Cavallari‘s podcast, Let’s Be Honest, and was asked for a bad date story.
Who did Chelsea Handler have a “bad” date with?
She named celebrity chef Bobby Flay, 61.
“I went on a date with Bobby Flay, that was pretty bad,” Chelsea responded. “We were talking on the phone [and] flirting a little bit. I was at a hotel with some girlfriends… He knew the hotel well and he’s like — he wanted to order room service, food for us. He was like, ‘Let me order your food for you. I love that hotel.’”
“He orders me food, he’s going to love this. This is somebody I don’t mind incriminating,” she said.
Chelsea Handler was shocked when the bill came
Chelsea then shared that the hotel staff handed her the bill, which surprised her.
Chelsea explained, “I’m like, ‘What?’ And then somebody was like, ‘Oh, yeah. He’s really cheap.’ And I was like, ‘Oh, I hate cheap.’”
She continued, indicating she assumed he would be paying: “If you’re penurious, I’m not interested in you. I’m generous and I like people to be generous with their money.”
They did end up meeting up for an in-person date, however, she said it was not a match and called it “messy.”
