Ariana Madix is opening up about the recent breakup of a fan-favorite Love Island USA couple.
The 41-year-old host of the Peacock dating series appeared on the latest episode of the Jonas Brothers‘ Hey Jonas! podcast, and reacted to season seven couple Nicolas Vansteenberghe and Olandria Carthen, aka Nicolandria, breaking up after a year together.
“I love both of them as individuals, and I loved them as a couple,” she said. “People break up, and that’s just the nature of life, right? And I think that everything that, I mean, they haven’t really talked a lot about it, so it’s hard to know how either of them really is feeling right now.”
“I just hope that they’re okay and that they’re both doing well. And they both continue to just kill it,” Ariana added.
Ariana was also asked, via Tanya Rad‘s submission, if it annoys her to co-host the Love Island USA reunions with Andy Cohen.
“I have such a fun time doing it with Andy, so it does not annoy me,” she responded. “I also feel like it’s nice to have, I don’t know. I just think we bounce off of each other really well.”
“I’ve known him for so long that I just, I don’t know. I like having him there. It’s nice,” Ariana continued. “He has great things to say, like great input, too.”
Past seasons of Love Island USA have filmed in Las Vegas, Hawaii, and Santa Barbara, Calif. Ariana was asked if she could change the location, where would she want to go.
“Part of me wants to say somewhere I’ve never been so that I can then be paid to work somewhere I’ve never been. The other part of me wants to say somewhere I’ve been because I know that it’s going to be great,” she said. “I think it would be really fun to shoot somewhere tropical, like maybe Puerto Vallarta would be cool. And then somewhere I’ve never been that would be really cool to shoot in would be Brazil.”
The Love Island USA season eight reunion is set to air on August 31st on Peacock.
