Maddox Jolie-Pitt is reportedly making moves to drop the “Pitt” from his last name.
The 24-year-old son of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt has reportedly filed for a legal name change, according to TMZ.
“Maddox filed paperwork requesting a legal name change, specifically, dropping the ‘Pitt‘ from his last name and making his name simply ‘Maddox Chivan Jolie,’” the outlet reports.
Earlier this year, he worked as an assistant director of his mother’s film Couture, and his name is apparently listed as “Maddox Jolie” in the credits.
He’s not the only one of their children to make both legal and informal moves to remove Brad‘s name: Shiloh also legally changed her name, and Vivienne removed it from her name in the playbill for a Broadway show.
While joining the Mu Pi chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority at Spelman College last year, daughter Zahara introduced herself as “Zahara Marley Jolie.”
The former couple, who began dating in 2005, also share Pax, 22, and Knox, 17.
The two finally settled their divorce at the end of 2024, eight years after Angelina initially filed for the dissolution of their marriage in September 2016.
Zahara Jolie graduated from Spelman College recently, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and Angelina was in the crowd to watch the amazing moment. Brad was not seen in footage, and it’s unclear if he was present.
