Court records identify Cole as a violent sex offender. He was sentenced to eight years of supervised probation for attempted rape, with strict conditions meant to protect the public. Those conditions included bans on leaving the state without permission, having contact with children, and operating any social media accounts that weren’t reported to law enforcement.

It was Facebook that exposed him. Investigators say Cole operated a Facebook account under the name “NuMoney Cole,” which he never disclosed to authorities as required by Tennessee’s sex offender registry rules. From that page, officers were reportedly able to track his activity and identify multiple violations.

Through posts and check-ins tied to the account, investigators allege Cole placed himself at the Jingle Jam event at the Brooks Museum in December, despite being prohibited from attending events where children are present. They also say the same account revealed he left Tennessee without approval, traveling to Six Flags near St. Louis which is full of children.

The affidavit shows that all of Cole’s alleged violations—ranging from unregistered travel to prohibited public contact with minors—stemmed from evidence gathered directly through his unregistered Facebook account. Those violations re-activate his original charges, which include attempted rape, aggravated assault, attempted aggravated rape, and theft of property.

Prosecutors have filed a petition to revoke Cole’s suspended sentence. He is scheduled to return to court next week.
