Madonna and Julia Garner are taking a gondola ride together.
The “Like a Prayer” pop icon and the Ozark actress were seen taking part of a shoot aboard a gondola on Sunday (March 22) in Venice, Italy.
The two were photographed together on a Venetian canal boat during the scenic shoot, just as news broke that they’re filming together for The Studio Season 2.

Their appearance together on the set is especially interesting, given that Julia was cast to play Madonna in a biopic project that’s been in the works for years.

Fan speculation has suggested that the show’s set includes a fictional Venice Film Festival at the Lido.
The Studio follows a legacy Hollywood movie studio striving to survive in a world where it is increasingly difficult for art and business to live together. It broke the record for most wins by a comedy in a single season at the Emmys this year.

As we reported last week, Madonna was missing from The Party, her ultra-exclusive Oscars after-party she co-hosts with longtime manager Guy Oseary. Pictures surfaced of her arriving in Italy on Monday (March 16), and then hours later, she was seen on the set of the upcoming second season. A day later, she was seen stepping out again in the city and shared a photo of herself reading over a script with a “Madonna” watermark.
