Lil Poppa‘s cause of death has been revealed.
The rapper, born Janarious Mykel Wheeler, sadly passed away at the age of 25 this week, and there’s an update regarding the cause of his death.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office in Georgia revealed that Lil Poppa died after being shot in the head, and it has been ruled a suicide, per TMZ.
The news was confirmed one day prior (February 18) by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office in Georgia, who told TMZ that he passed at 11:23 AM ET.
He was signed to Yo Gotti‘s Collective Music Group, and released his Billboard-charting debut album Blessed, I Guess in 2021. His mixtape Under Investigation 3 also charted in 2022.
His latest release, “Out of Town Bae,” released just a few days ago, and he was set to perform in March in New Orleans.
