Jordin Sparks did receive her American Idol car unlike Kelly Clarkson!
During an appearance on Today with Jenna and Sheinelle, the 36-year-old American Idol winner was asked if she got her prize money and/or new car, as Kelly previously said she didn’t.
“I’m wondering, Jordin Sparks, did you secure the bag?” asked cohost Justin Sylvester.

The “No Air” singer said she did get her car, the Ford Mustang convertible.
“Look, I wasn’t a part of season one. But the first season of anything is a little crazy,” she added. “I hope they give her one now. Send her a Ford.”
While Kelly won the inaugural season of American Idol, Jordin didn’t compete and win until the show’s sixth season in 2007, when she was just 17.
The Traitors winner Rob Rausch was on The Kelly Clarkson Show earlier this month and shared he hadn’t received his $220,800 prize at the time, to which the “Stronger” singer said she could “relate” to that “so hardcore.”
“Whenever I won, you probably weren’t even alive when I was on American Idol…but I literally was on the show and they were like ‘you win a million dollars.’ No you didn’t. They lied,” she said at the time.
