Since Henry is playing the lead role, production on the movie has been moved until early 2026, reports The Wrap. No further details about the actor’s injury have been shared.
Apart from Henry, the film also stars Karen Gillian, Dave Bautista, Russell Crowe, Marisa Abela, Max Zhang, and Djimon Hounsou.
The original Highlander released in 1986 was an action fantasy film starring Christopher Lambert as the immortal warrior Connor MacLeod, a role that Henry will take on in the reboot.
This isn’t the first time Henry has been injured on the job. The 42-year-old actor previously suffered from a hamstring injury during the filming of The Witcher season 2.
