Joe Freeman made a splash this summer in the MGM+ series The Institute!
The 19-year-old actor stars in the Stephen King series as teen genius Luke Ellis, alongside Mary-Louise Parker and Ben Barnes.
In the show, Luke is kidnapped and awakens at The Institute, a facility full of children who all got there the same way he did and who are all possessed of unusual abilities. In a nearby town, haunted former police officer Tim Jamieson (Barnes) has come looking to start a new life, but the peace and quiet won’t last, as his story and Luke’s are destined to collide.
This marks Joe‘s first major role and he got it the old-fashioned way – through auditioning – though you may recognize his famous parents, Martin Freeman and Amanda Abbington.
We recently caught up with Joe and got to know 10 Fun Facts about him.
