The cast of Jay Kelly gathered today to celebrate their film Jay Kelly at the film’s 2025 Venice Film Festival photo call and press conference…without their lead George Clooney.
Adam Sandler, Laura Dern, Billy Crudup, and director/co-writer Noah Baumbach all posed for photos together at the event held on Thursday (August 28) in Venice, Italy. Other cast members to join were Emily Mortimer, who also co-wrote with Noah, as well as Riley Keough, Eve Hewson, Alba Rohrwacher, and Noah‘s wife Greta Gerwig, who makes a cameo as the wife of Adam‘s character.
As for George, he also stars in the film, but unfortunately, has been ill!
“George has been diagnosed with a sinus infection and is under doctors orders to cut back all activities today,” his rep said in a statement to Variety. However, he is expected to be at the premiere of the film, which will take place in a few hours.
