Charlie Kirk has passed away. The Turning Point USA co-founder and right-wing activist died on Wednesday (September 10) after being shot in the neck at an event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.

The conservative media personality was reportedly about 20 minutes into his presentation in front of students when shots were heard from a nearby building. Reports suggested at the time he was the only person shot. A suspect was then taken into custody, per reports.
Charlie often went to colleges with his Turning Point USA to debate students, in a “mission is to identify, educate, train, and organize students to promote the principles of fiscal responsibility, free markets, and limited government,” per their official site.
He was known for his outspoken views on politics, and was the host of The Charlie Kirk Show, a daily radio show.
He was born in Illinois and began his political career as a teen, rising up in the conservative movement and becoming a speaker at political events like CPAC. He was also a vocal supporter of President Donald Trump.
