After almost 20 years with the news program, Anderson Cooper is reportedly set to exit 60 Minutes as a correspondent.

Variety is reporting that a “person familiar with his thinking” confirmed the news to them about the 58-year-old broadcaster. He first started on the news program in 2007.

Apparently, he was going through negotiations with CBS recently to renew his deal, but he reportedly now wants to focus on his job at CNN. Anderson did re-up his contract with CNN last year.

There have been issues at 60 Minutes over the last few months, including, famously, the “Inside CECOT” segment that one journalist said was pulled for political reasons.

Anderson has not made a statement confirming this news.
