James Bond is one of the most iconic characters of all time.

The fictional British Secret Service agent, also known as 007, made his debut in 1953 with writer Ian Fleming before making his on-screen debut in 1962′s Dr. No, with Sean Connery playing Bond.

There have been over two dozen movies ever since, leading up to the most recent entry: No Time to Die, featuring Daniel Craig starring in the role.

There are also two independent Bond movies, Casino Royale, a 1967 spoof, and Never Say Never Again, a 1983 remake – not considered part of the official canon.

The films have brought in $7 billion at the box office, making it the fifth highest grossing film series of all time. As far as their critical acclaim, however, the movies greatly range from largely negative reviews to near-universal praise.
