Mark Zuckerberg‘s “hot mic” moment with Donald Trump is getting a lot of attention online.
It all went down during a dinner in the State Dining Room at the White House last week.
Reporters and photographers were surrounding the POTUS, the Meta CEO, the First Lady and others.
Trump then asked Zuckerberg about how much Meta would be spending over the next few years, “How much are you spending, would you say, over the next few years?”
“Oh, gosh, I mean, I think it’s probably going to be something like…I don’t know, at least $600 billion through [2028] in the US,” Zuckerberg said.
Then later, it appeared as if Zuckerberg thought they were in a private moment and turned to the President and seemingly said, “I’m sorry, I was ready to do our…I wasn’t sure what number you wanted to go with.” Many believe this to mean that he’s actually asking Trump to name how much he should say Meta is going to spend over the next few years.
Trump himself was caught on a hot mic just a few weeks ago making a statement about Russian President Vladimir Putin.
