It looks like Busy Philipps has a new man in her life!
The Dawson’s Creek actress, 47, was spotted holding hands with comedian and viral street interviewer Jason Selvig on Wednesday (August 26) in New York City.
The sighting came on the same day that Busy revealed that she recently had surgery to remove a malignant brain tumor.

It’s unclear how long Busy and Jason have been dating, but they’ve definitely known each other for a couple years.
Back in 2024, Busy was honored with a special award at the NYCLU and ACLU’s Sing Out for Freedom event and Jason was one of the featured entertainers at the event.
Who is Jason Selvig?
Jason has been one half of the comedy duo The Good Liars since 2011. Alongside partner Davram Stiefler, they are known for infiltrating conservative campaign events and rallies to interview the attendees, usually highlighting the hypocrisies of their political views.
In the below video, Jason chats with a man about gay marriage. After the man says that marriage should be between a man and a woman, because that’s what is in the Bible, Jason points out how the Bible also says we should not be wearing mixed fibers.
Busy was previously linked to soap opera actor Blake Berris. They walked the red carpet together in October 2025 at the opening night of a Broadway show. It’s unclear when they split.
