North West is considering what she wants to do with her career!
The 13-year-old daughter of Kim Kardashian and Ye (formerly Kanye West) gave a new interview for the autumn 2026 issue of Dazed and spoke about how dedicated she is to music already.
North also shared that she wants to work at Starbucks once she turns 14.
North says music is what she wants to do with her life
Asked what the “worst piece of advice” she’s ever been given was, North said, “To start my career later. It’s like, nah, this is my hobby, this is what I like to do, this is what I wanna do with my life.”
She says she sees music as both her hobby and what she wants to pursue professionally. North described what sounds like a hard-working daily routine, with frequent rehearsals.
“I don’t like to rest a lot,” North said. “I like to get stuff done. So maybe just going to rehearsal, and then going to the studio; that’s a perfect day. Or having a big show would be the most ideal day.”
North‘s first solo festival appearance was at Summer Smash in June and she described performing there as “fun, relieving and exciting.” She also prays before going on onstage as her pre-show ritual.
Speaking about her musical influences, North credited Lil Uzi Vert‘s Pink Tape as one of the influences or her EP and said they are one of her dream collaborators.
North released a six-song debut EP called N0rth4evr when she was only 12 years and old, and she recently released a horror-themed music video for her song “Aishite.” She also made a surprise appearance on stage with Molly Santana back in May.
The duo were originally planning to go on tour together, but it was canceled a few days before their first show.
Ye and his wife Bianca Censori came out to support North at a pop-up event for N0rth4evr earlier this year!
North wants a ‘regular job’ at Starbucks
North said she previously considered becoming a basketball player but ultimately changed her mind. However, she does want to try working at Starbucks once she turns 14, describing the desire as wanting a “regular job.”
“I wanna work at, like, Starbucks next year. I think I can next year ’cause I’m gonna be 14, so… I think I can. I want to have a regular job, I guess,” she said.
She also joked that she wants to “get better at interviews” as an example of something she’s still figuring out.
A few other fun facts North revealed in the interview include being inspired to get blue hair by Hatsune Miku and she uses TikTok and Pinterest for her hair and nail inspiration!
The interview appears in Dazed upcoming autumn 2026 issue, which goes on sale on September 10.
