Hayden Panettiere‘s neighbor is speaking out in the wake of the Scream actress’ death at 36.
Mia Terrazas opened up in an interview with Page Six, revealing that she saw Hayden being taken out on a gurney on July 29, 2023, and again on January 16, 2024, amid her romance with Brian Hickerson.
The outlet seemingly corroborated those dates with evidence on their end as well.
Brian was arrested numerous times during their relationship on charges including domestic violence in 2019 and 2020. In 2021, he pled no contest to two felony counts of injuring a partner. He spent 13 days in jail, and the other charges were dropped, while his 2019 case was dismissed.

Mia noted that she saw “bright red spots” and “bruises” on Hayden.
“It appeared that she had been beaten up. It wasn’t apparent to me that it could have been anything else,” she said, adding that Hayden allegedly often looked “battered.”
She Claims She Repeatedly Raised Concerns About Brian Hickerson
The neighbor’s daughter, Vileena Koneru, agreed with the assessment, and said she was there during the alleged 2024 incident. The mother-daughter duo said that tried to raise “concerns” with the firefighters both times.
The neighbor claims she also heard “muffled arguments” coming from Hayden‘s place, adding: “You can tell somebody’s arguing just by the tonality. … It was very hostile.”
She also claimed she once heard Hayden “screaming” at Brian in the elevator: “Just leave me alone! Just stop!”
Mia claims she saw Brian at the apartment even during the time of Hayden‘s protective order, and called the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department “quite a few times” to report it, per Page Six, adding that deputies “removed” him from the property at least once, only for him to return the following day.
“I just kept calling because I was hoping I would get a different answer,” she said to the outlet.
Last year, the building’s homeowners association posted flyers warning residents of him “trespassing,” and were encouraged to call 911 if they saw him. Mia said the notices “mysteriously” came down after about a week. When she tried putting them back up, the association told her “Brian’s no longer a threat” because he’s going to “drug rehab.”
She added that she “never saw them actually doing any type of drugs,” but it was “pretty apparent sometimes.”
“Brian always seemed to be high or disconnected. He just kind of had this odd, flat effect, I guess I could describe it as. Hayden sometimes would seem out of it.”
Mia got emotional while saying Hayden “seemed like a different person” around Brian, and was “very subdued” when he was there.
The Neighbor Remembers Hayden as a “Bright Light”
“She was just so lovely … and just seeing her and passing frequently and, you know, the little chats that I had with her — she made such an impression, and she was such a bright light,” she said.
“Just as a human being. Never mind the talent; she was a human being, you know? And she deserved so much better. I felt everybody just used her up, and she just deserved better. … I just wish I could have done more. I just can’t believe I’ll never see her again.” For the full story, head to Page Six.
