For Foxx’s part, he also admitted that his near-fatal brain hemorrhage in 2023 taught him to experience as much of life as possible.
“A few years back, I went through something horrible,” he reflected. “My daughter made sure I got back. Now, seeing that I have a new life and to have my daughters embrace it, that’s all that matters, you know.”
As he put it, “This is part of living—having a new life to live and share with is amazing.”
Meanwhile, Foxx is soaking in as much quality time as he can with his adult daughter, too. Hosting Beat Shazam alongside Corinne—the series will debut its 100th episode on ABC Sept. 7 at 9 p.m. ET— has been a true highlight of the endeavor.
“Just to be able to watch my daughter develop,” Foxx mused. “Eight years is a growth to watch your daughter or your child grow into something special.”
Indeed, the Amazing Spider-Man 2 star considered that it hasn’t felt much like work at all.
“That’s part of your family,” he continued. “That’s what’s great. They say time sure flies when you’re having fun.”
