Taylor Swift‘s song “August” has been removed from a Donald Trump video.
The song was featured in a video shared on the Trump campaign TikTok account with the caption, “I’m sure @TaylorSwift is going to be super excited we used her song! #taylorswift #maga #august.”
According to Variety, the clip showed Donald and Melania Trump stand next to each other on a balcony with fireworks going off in the sky. It included the text, “Mood because it’s August and Donald Trump is your president.”
It has since been deleted, seemingly after the song was muted.
Late Friday evening (August 7), fans noticed that the song had been removed from the TikTok with the message on the video saying, “The copyright owner hasn’t made this sound available in your country.”
Variety also notes a video soundtracked with “Father Figure” from November 6, 2025 also had its audio removed. That video has also since been completely taken down. A video using “Opalite” has also reportedly had its audio removed.
However, a video posted on November 2, 2025 still features her song “The Fate of Ophelia.”
Many artists have been vocally against the White House and Trump administration using their music in videos and other campaign materials. Most recently, Noah Kahan called out the president for using his song “American Cars” on an Instagram post.
