Drake gave one of his Degrassi co-stars a $50,000 gift.
The 39-year-old rapper is reported to have given out more than $1 million in cash and luxury vehicles on Tuesday (August 4) during his annual Strong Women, Stronger Drinks event held at the Casa Loma Mansion in Toronto, Canada, according to People.
All attendees allegedly received a welcome gift of $1,000 in cash, and then an additional 10 attendees got $50,000 and six others received $100,000.
Andrea Lewis, who played Hazel on Degrassi: The Next Generation, was reportedly among the guests chosen to win the $50k.
In a statement, she shared, “It’s been a real blessing. We’ve seen each other grow up and I feel very lucky to have a friend like him and that no matter where we are in the world or our personal journeys we always manage to stay connected.”
She added that the money was “unexpected” and she intends to reinvest it into her creative projects and production team.
Earlier this month, A$AP Rocky spoke out about his years-long feud with Drake following a diss on Drake‘s song ICEMAN.
Drake recently made headlines when he lost a lot of money when Conor McGregor lost his first UFC fight in five years.
