Karol G is getting emotional on her new album.
The 35-year-old Colombian superstar dropped her new record NO ME ARREPIENTO DE SENTIR TANTO on Friday (August 7), including standout track “Final feliz.”
The song was co-produced by Oklou and Tyler Spry.
“Si no vas a estar, no hay final feliz / Vuélveme a abrazar, vuelve por mí / Si hay algún lugar donde quieras ir / Regresa a mi lado, hazme feliz,” Karol sings. (“If you’re not going to be there, there’s no happy ending / Hug me again, come back for me / If there’s somewhere you want to go, come back to my side, make me happy.”)
“Duele verte pasar, cada día un poco más / Duele hoy, dolió ayer, no poder ser tu mujer / Te besé los labios esa vez en LAX / Pero no sabía que iba a ser la última vez,” she continues. (“It hurts to see you walk by, a little more each day / It hurts today, it hurt yesterday, not being able to be your woman / I kissed your lips that time at LAX / But I didn’t know it would be the last time.”)
Earlier in the week, Karol shared intimate thoughts about love and pain in a teaser video for the album. (She recently broke up with Feid after three years of dating.)
“There’s a version of you that one day disappears forever. Because there are pains that don’t just break your heart, they change you, they tear away entire parts of who you were, parts of you that will never return,” she began, translated from Spanish. Find out what else she said.
