Jon Bernthal has been part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe for more than a decade, but he just made his first appearance in a big-screen MCU project.
The 49-year-old actor plays Frank Castle / Punisher in the MCU and he appears in the new film Spider-Man: Brand New Day, becoming one of Peter Parker’s most important allies as he fights to save New York City once again.

Jon Bernthal’s past Marvel projects revealed!
Jon made his first appearance in the MCU in a supporting role in 2016’s season two of Daredevil, which was a Netflix exclusive at the time.
That led to two seasons of the spin-off series The Punisher, which also aired on Netflix from 2017 to 2019.
Jon later reprised the role in 2025’s Daredevil: Born Again, which was on Disney+. He also had a television special released in May 2026, The Punisher: One Last Kill.
