Lionel Messi is married to his longtime love Antonela Roccuzzo
Antonela, 38, and Lionel, 39, have known each other since they were kids in Rosario, Argentina. They actually reconnected as adults and began dating in the late 2000s while he was pursuing his soccer career in Spain.
After nearly a decade together, they married in 2017 in their Argentinian hometown. Throughout his career, Antonela has largely stayed out of the spotlight while supporting him and helping raise their family.

If you do not know, the soccer superstar and Antonela have three children: Thiago, 13, Mateo, 10, and Ciro, 8. Their sons are often seen with their parents during major football celebrations and family events, but Lionel and Antonela generally keep their personal lives private.

Lionel joined Barcelona’s youth academy, La Masia, in 2000 after moving from Argentina to Spain. He made his first-team debut in 2004 at just 17 years old and went on to spend the next 17 seasons with the club. During his time at Barcelona, he won 10 La Liga titles while becoming the club’s all-time leading scorer.
In 2021, he left Barcelona and signed with Paris Saint-Germain, where he played for two seasons before joining Inter Miami in the USA in 2023.
