Mariska Hargitay is speaking out.

The 62-year-old Law & Order: SVU actress issued a statement after it was revealed Wednesday (July 8) that her HBO documentary about late mother Jayne Mansfield was nominated for three Emmy awards at this year’s ceremony: Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Special, Outstanding Directing for a Documentary/Nonfiction Program and Outstanding Cinematography for a Nonfiction Program.

“I’m thrilled and deeply moved by these nominations. It’s an emotional moment, because what feels most natural to say is ‘On behalf of my mom and myself, thank you,’” she said, via People.

“I’m profoundly grateful to have this moment with her.”

“My gratitude also extends to my producer, the truly formidable Trish Adlesic, our nominated cinematographer, Tony Hardmon, and the rest of my extraordinary team who shepherded this film into reality,” she added.

Here’s a synopsis: “Through intimate interviews and an extensive collection of never-before-seen photos and home movies, My Mom Jayne is a testament to the transformative rewards of an unflinching search for truth, unveiling Mariska‘s journey to reclaim her mother’s story – and her own.”

In addition to the nomination, Mariska is also hosting this year’s Emmys ceremony, and she issued a statement about the honor.
