James Van Der Beek‘s ex wife, Heather McComb, has announced her marriage to Scott Michael Campbell.
In February 2026, the Dawson’s Creek star passed away after battling colorectal cancer since August 2023. He was 48. James and Heather were married from 2003 until their split in 2009.
Heather McComb announced her marriage over the weekend on social media
“Yesterday @scottmichaelcampbell and I under the covenant of God got officially married by my beautiful sister @essence_says surround[ed] by the people we love most in the world in our most favorite city Missoula Montana. Our hearts are full and humbled by all of the love that we were surrounded by. God is so good. Thank you to all of our family and friends who traveled from all over the country to be with us. Thank you Jesus the way maker miracle worker!” she posted on Instagram.
When James passed away, Heather wrote a tribute to him.
