Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is facing more allegations.
The 66-year-old former royal is being investigated by authorities regarding an alleged inappropriate behavior towards a woman at Royal Ascot, which is believed to have happened in 2002, according to The Sunday Times.
Andrew was pictured alongside Princess Beatrice and the future King Charles to the event.
Detectives are “understood to be pursuing the matter as part of a broader investigation into Andrew over the offence of misconduct in public office,” the news outlet reports.
Earlier this year, he was arrested on his birthday and held in custody amid investigation regarding inappropriate behavior, which he has denied.
The Sunday Times reports that investigators are talking to “key witnesses, including former cabinet ministers, royal officials and senior civil servants” to look into Andrew’s decade-long run as a government trade envoy.
Officers said the investigation was considering “a far wider range of possible crimes than had been understood, including sexual misconduct, corruption and fraud,” per the report.
Oliver Wright, assistant chief constable at Thames Valley, offered a statement: “Misconduct in public office is a crime that can take different forms, making this a complex investigation. Whenever a victim-survivor is ready to engage with us, we’re ready for you, at whatever point that may be.”
The 66-year-old ex-Prince has reportedly not been invited to the upcoming nuptials of his nephew Peter Phillips and fiancée Harriet Sperling, who got engaged last summer.
