The cast list for The Princess Diaries 3 is still coming together, but fans are finally getting some exciting updates about who could be heading back to Genovia!
More than two decades after The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement hit theaters, Disney officially confirmed that a third movie in the beloved franchise is moving forward, with Adele Lim set to direct.
Anne Hathaway has already confirmed that she’ll be returning as Princess Mia Thermopolis. Over the years, several former cast members have also opened up about potentially reprising their roles, while others remain less certain about whether they’ll return to Genovia.
Most recently, another actor shared that they still don’t know if they’ll be involved in the new movie. Meanwhile, one major franchise favorite hinted they may sit this one out altogether.
Still, many familiar faces have expressed interest in returning, including stars who haven’t appeared in the franchise since the original 2001 movie. If Disney manages to reunite everyone, it could make for some seriously fun drama in Genovia.
