Olivia Rodrigo celebrated the release of her new song “The Cure” by hosting an exclusive fan premiere event!
The 23-year-old singer stepped out for a special screening and intimate Q&A at The Metrograph on Thursday night (May 22) in New York City.
The event saw fans lining up around the block for a chance to get inside the theater, where they were treated to Olivia-inspired cocktails and light bites. The Q&A after the screening was hosted by Brittany Spanos, a staff writer at Rolling Stone.
The music video for “The Cure” finds Olivia in the cold, sterile hallways of a handmade, cardboard hospital in a desperate search to find the antidote for a broken heart.
“This song is the thesis statement of you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love and it made the whole album click for me. I hope you enjoy it,” Olivia said about the song.
Olivia was joined at the party by her BFFs, Iris Apatow and Madison Hu.
Olivia‘s third studio album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, is set to be released on June 12. Just a few more weeks away!
