Project Hail Mary is staying strong at the box office!
For the second weekend in a row, the Ryan Gosling-led movie was the No. 1 movie at the U.S. box office, bringing in $54.5 million.
The movie opened in theaters last weekend and brought in $80.5 million. It has become the top grossing movie of the year so far, earning $164.3 million domestically, according to Variety.

As his memory returns, he begins to uncover his mission: solve the riddle of the mysterious substance causing the sun to die out. He must call on his scientific knowledge and unorthodox ideas to save everything on Earth from extinction… but an unexpected friendship means he may not have to do it alone.”
Project Hail Mary cost about $200 million to produce and millions more to market, per Variety. The movie has been receiving amazing reviews with a 95% Fresh rating at Rotten Tomatoes and a 96% audience score.
