The 2026 Winter Olympics are already out of condoms.

According to an anonymous athlete, the Olympic Village is out of prophylactics in record time, depleting their stock within just three days.

“They promised us more will arrive, but who knows when,” the source told Italian newspaper La Stampa, via Us Weekly.

They asserted that whoever was responsible for supplying the birth control methods this year was lacking in generosity. In Paris, they reportedly received 300,000 condoms, enough for each athlete to get two per day, “but the numbers for these Winter Games were significantly lower: not even 10,000.”

Attilio Fontana, the Lombardy region governor, released a statement addressing the issue last week.

“Yes, we provide free condoms to athletes in the Olympic village,” he said. “If this seems strange to some, they’re unaware of the established Olympic practice. It began in Seoul 1988 to raise awareness among athletes and young people about sexually transmitted disease prevention — a topic that shouldn’t cause embarrassment.”
