Forbes has released its annual ranking of Hollywood’s highest-paid actors.
The 2025 list highlights the 20 performers who earned the most over the past year, based on income generated from entertainment work such as acting, producing, and directing, and their lucrative endorsement deals.
While movie stardom remains a high-paying job, Hollywood has faced growing anxiety around the rise of artificial intelligence and decreasing theatrical ticket sales. At the same time, entertainers in other industries, such as social media, are increasingly earning more than many film and TV stars.
Even with those shifts, film studios still invest heavily in big-name actors to market major projects and draw global attention to their latest projects.
That being said, according to Forbes, the 20 highest-paid actors collectively earned an estimated $590 million in 2025, down about 20% from $730 million in 2024.
The rankings reflect each star’s gross earnings in addition to estimated take-home pay after fees paid to agents, managers, lawyers, etc.
